The committee had presented 2 rule changes at the Sept. 30th 2006 meeting that passed in that meeting. They had to be addressed again at this meeting in order to be adopted and presented to the BOD for addition into the rulebook.

Proposed rule change#1

Chapter VD3 (pg.24)

Change: “The maximum points that can be awarded to any individual are 100 points (must work a minimum of four days). Individuals who work at least one day but less than four days will be awarded 35 points.”

To: “Individuals will earn 25 points per day worked, up to a maximum of 100 points”.

Allen Pearce moved to accept, Don King seconded

Motion passed 12 to 1

Proposed rule change#2

Chapter VD3 (pg.24)

Change: “An individual can receive work points for only one event per competition year”.

To: “An individual can receive work points for only one club promoted event per competition year”.

Allen Pearce moved to accept, Don King seconded
Motion passed 10-3

This final proposal is an addition to the rulebook in reference to beginning a mini enduro series within FTR. This proposal purposely sets a minimal guide for clubs to follow. Over time, this allows FTR clubs the opportunity to develop solid ideas for the future of how this series will operate.

Under Chapter IV Enduro rules

Create “F” Mini Enduro Series

1) A Mini Enduro can be held at either an Enduro or a Hare Scramble event on the Saturday before the main event.

2) The series is to be promoted by FTR clubs on a voluntary basis.

3) Mini Enduro classes and trophies are to be determined by the voluntary clubs holding the event. It is recommended that every participant receive an award of some type. The following classes are to be used as a guide:

Jr A & B
Mini A & B
Pee Wee A & B

4) At this time, the Mini Enduro series is not a part of an FTR championship points paying year end series and is not an FTR sanctioned event.

Motion to accept, Allen Pearce, seconded Bob Brown

Motion passed 13-0

Lee Daily began discussion in reference to enduro scorekeeping. It was generally agreed that we need better communication between the business office and the committee. The committee decided that all scoring issues corresponded to the business office by either E-mail or phone, be forwarded to Don King for review. The reason for this is so that pertinent information can be shared among the committee members more easily when necessary. No vote was necessary on this issue. It simply requires a directive.
