Executive Committee Meeting

7/21/07

A meeting of the Florida Trail Riders Executive Committee was called to order on July 21, 2007at approximately 11:25 a.m. at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort, 1500 Epcot Resorts Boulevard, Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The president determined a quorum was present.

Roll call was as follows:

Present:
President — Randy Faul
Secretary — Tiffany St. John
Treasurer — Allen Pearce
Enduro Chairman — Sam Mento
H/S Chairman — Joe Steidl
Motocross Chairman — Kevin Carr
Quad Chairman — Amanda Fronckowiak

Absent:
Vice President — Jim Wilder

I. Old Business

None.

II. New Business

Amanda Fronckowiak requested that the committee ratify Mark Hammond as the Quad Scramble Committee Specialty A/B Representative. The motion was seconded and passed.

Amanda Fronckowiak stated that the Quad Scrambles Committee has approved a sanction request from BSTR for October 20, 2007. The motion was seconded and passed.

Sam Mento made a motion to allow RCDR to move their Hare Scramble to March 15/16, 2008 and their Enduro to May 25, 2008. The motion was seconded and passed.

Joe Steidl requested that the committee ratify Joe Blum as Hare Scramble Scorekeeper. The motion was seconded and passed.

The Executive Committee discussed its strong commitment to supporting the Quad Scrambles Series as it grows. The first step will be a Quad Scramble Benefit Race to be added to the schedule in the event of a cancellation. Patience will be required during this crucial time. The Executive Committee wants to strongly urge the Committees and all FTR members to show their support of this series in a positive manner.

The Hare Scramble and Quad Scramble Committees will be presenting Emergency Rule Changes at their first meetings. The Emergency Rule Changes will make ALS Ambulance Services a requirement. A rule change will be developed for presentation at the February BOD meeting.

Jack Terrell has people to help with a Benefit Hare Scramble. There are some leads on land and the dates will need to be ironed out.

The meeting was adjourned at 12:40 p.m.
