MX Committee Meeting Minutes

2/09/08

The 3nd FTR MX Committee Meeting was held at Quick Track on February 9, 2008 at 7:00 p.m.

Kevin Carr called the meeting to order and called for an attendance. In attendance were committee members: Kevin Carr, Don Redfern, Ken Doeg, Jeff Hazeltine, John Collins. Member Jack Kirchner and Bryant Coker were absent.

Old Business:

Kevin advised that there were three motions that were to be discussed at this meeting that had been published in the magazine.

The first was the motion to bring the MX ages for 65 classes in line with the Hare-scramble. The proposal to be voted on is:

John Collins called for a vote, Don Redfern 2nd the motion. Vote was taken, motioned passed unanimously

The second topic was the motion involving the Peewee parents.

Chapter IX
Motocross Rules
C. Event Rules:
Peewee riders at certain tracks may compete on specially prepared Peewee tracks that are separate from the main track. Peewee riders are not allowed to ride on the track unless accompanied by parent or guardian. During the Peewee races, no parent will be allowed to be on the track.

John Collins called for a vote, Don Redfern 2nd the motion. Vote was taken, motioned passed unanimously.

Third topic was the creation of a Women’s Vet Class

Don Redfern called for a vote, John Collins 2nd the motion. Vote was taken, motion failed unanimously.

Debi Carr made a proposal for a rule clarification on the Super Mini big wheel

Don Redfern made a motion to accept the proposal, John Collins 2nd. Floor was open for discussion. Don Redfern made a motion to call for a vote, Ken Doeg 2nd Vote 5-0 Motion Passed and proposal will be sent for publication in the next FTR Magazine

Sandy Moss submitted a proposal regarding a Women’s Vet Class

John Collins made a motion to accept the proposal, Don Redfern 2nd. Floor was open for discussion. Don Redfern made a motion to call for a vote, Ken Doeg 2nd Vote 5-0 Motion Passed and proposal will be sent for publication in the next FTR Magazine

Jeff Hazeltine made a motion to adjourn Kevin seconded.
