Hare Scrambles Committee Meeting minutes

April 5, 2008

The meeting was called to order at 7pm

The minutes from meeting held on 2/01/08 were accepted as read.

Old Business:

The following motions were passed at the Hare Scrambles Committee meeting on February 10, 2007 and printed in the March 2008 magazine:

1) The proposal to create a Specialty AA class, as printed in the March 2008 magazine failed.

2) The proposal to correct the rider representatives on the committee, as printed in the March 2008 magazine passed, to be effective at the start of the 08/09 season, pending BOD approval.

3) The proposal to restructure the Peewee class structure, as printed in the March 2008 magazine, failed. (CHAIRMANS’S NOTE: The main purpose of this proposal was to make the Peewee C Class more suited to the smaller and/or less skilled riders. The Committee will look into rider advancement to achieve the same result.)

4) The proposal to restructure the method for Team scoring, as printed in the March 2008 magazine, passed. It will be effective at the start of the 08/09 season, pending BOD approval.

5) The proposal to standardize numbers and number plates, as printed in the March 2008 magazine, passed, to be effective at the start of the 08/09 season, pending BOD approval.

6) The proposal to combine the Beginners into one class, as printed in the March 2008 magazine, passed, to be effective at the start of the 08/09 season, pending BOD approval.

7) The proposal to split the Golden Master Class into A and B Classes, as printed in the March 2008 magazine, passed, to be effective at the start of the 08/09 season, pending BOD approval.

(((Chairman Note: The Committee was asked how they wanted the Golden Master split into A and B. The Committee requested that the Chairman, Referee, and Scorekeeper determine this)))

8) The proposal to change the Sunday Race 1 race order, as printed in the March 2008 magazine, passed, to be effective at the start of the 08/09 season, pending BOD approval.

approved Race Order]:

9) The proposal to made to regulate fuel containers, as printed in the March 2008 magazine, passed, to be effective at the start of the 08/09 season, pending BOD approval.

At this point of the meeting, horrendous weather caused an early adjournment. Motion to adjourn was made and seconded. The meeting adjourned at 8:20.
