Old Business:

none

New Business:

1) Rider Carlos Allen petitioned the Committee to overturn his DQ at the Ona HS. The Committee discussed this, and voted to deny the petition. The disqualification stands

2) Rider Matt Johnson petitioned the Committee to return to the Junior Class. The Committee discussed this, and voted to accept the petition. Matt is allowed to return to the Junior class, effective immediately.

3) A motion was made to suspend rider Sergio Santana for the period of one year. The rider is under aged, and could not supply a Minor release. He was told he couldn’t race. He then proceeded to race, anyway. The Committee passed the motion. The rider is immediately suspended for one year, and will be notified of that fact.

4) Allen Pearce presented a comprehensive plan for the Hare Scramble and Quad Scrambles Series to co sanction races on the same weekends. The Quad Scramble series is having difficulty generating enough rider turnouts to make the races financially practical for the clubs. Thus the concept was that the Quad Series would stay intact, but that the Hare Scrambles and Quad Scrambles would simply share costs by running on the same weekends. The topic was extensively discussed. The Committee recognized that something needs to be done, but that the topic requires further thought. The proposal was tabled.

CHAIRMAN’S NOTE: It is this Chairman’s intention that by the time you read this, a special meeting on this topic will have been held.

4) The tentative Hare Scrambles Sanction dates for the 08/09 Season were accepted

A motion to adjourn was made, and accepted. The meeting adjourned at 8:40 pm.
