Hare Scrambles Committee Meeting Minutes

October 18, 2008

The meeting was called to order at 7pm.

The two candidates for FTR President addressed the Committee and answered questions. The minutes from meeting held on 4/26/08 accepted as read.

Old Business:

New Business:

1) The Chairman discussed with the Committee that our dedication to Pit Safety is an ingoing process , and that the effort needs to continue.

2) The Committee accepted Mike Riddle as the HS Committee’s representative to the Election Committee

3) Deborah Broderick presented a proposal to add a Junior Girls, Mini Girls, and 65 Girls Classes.

The proposal was discussed , deemed valid for FTR membership consideration, and will be published in the magazine..

The proposal addresses: Chapter III,section d-Women(a,b) 0-open c no age indicated-Change to Women (a,b) 0-open cc , 13/above

Add below Junior(a,b)-Junior Girls-86-200cc 2 stroke 126-250cc 4 stroke
age-13-16

Add below Mini(a.b)-Mini Girls-0-85 cc 2 stroke -86-150cc 4 stroke
age-9-14

Add below 65 c- 65 Girls-51-65cc
Age- 8-12

Also, Chapter III, section k6-Add to 0-85cc 2 stroke, 86-150cc four stroke 17” wheels:Mini Girls

Also, Chapter VI, Section c, Race 4-Add to Row 3-Mini Girls

-Add to Row 6- 65 Girls

Race 5-Add to row 3-Junior Girls

Also, Chapter VII, section b-Add, after Mini (a,b,c)-Mini Girls-white plates, letter G/black

-Add, below 65(a,b)- 65 Girls, green plates, letter G/white

-Add, below Junior (a,b)-Junior Girls,black plates, letter G/white

4) The Chairman suggested the Committee start thinking about completing the reintegration of the quad classes, during the Quad Series suspension. Topics include race times and class structure. The Chairman also announced that the HS Officers will present a proposal addressing this, at the mid season meeting, after adequate data on class sizes has been obtained. The basics of the plan are to run the Quad Peewees after the bike Peewees, and add a Quad Junior Class .

5) Land Use was discussed, as was a FTR info package for land owners, etc. Old School DR and River City DR have club packets, which they will present at the BOD meeting.

A motion to adjourn was made, and accepted. The meeting adjourned at 8:05 pm.
