Executive Committee Meeting Minutes

January 3, 2009

A meeting of the Florida Trail Riders Executive committee was called to order at 6:15 p.m. on January 3, 2009 at the SCTB Hare Scramble. The president determined a quorum was present.

Roll call was as follows:

I. Old Business:

None

II. New Business

SWFTR has given up the February 7/8 race date. Joe Steidl made a motion to accept a request from CFTR to move their race from the April 11/12 date to the vacated February 7/8 date. The motion was seconded and passed unanimously.

Property for the Benefit Race has been secured. Joe Steidl made a motion to have Jack Terrell act as Trail Boss for the Benefit Race. The motion was seconded and passed unanimously.

Jack Terrell briefed the committee about the recent case ruling regarding Minor Releases. After discussion, Joe Steidl made a motion to use $3,000 towards lobbying efforts for legislation being prepared about this issue. The motion was seconded and passed unanimously.

Allen Pearce made a motion to allow advertising on our website. The motion was seconded and passed unanimously.

Joe Steidl made a motion to adjourn. The motion was seconded and passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
