A Message from the New Hare Scramble Score Keeper.
Well we are off to a new season and I am excited about the opportunity to serve as score keeper this year. I have a pair of big shoes to fill following in Rick's foot steps, he was a great score keeper and really easy to work with last year. We all should appreciate the three years of dedication and hard work he put into score keeping. Thanks Rick for a super job!

There are few things that you all need to pay special attention to:

1) the 30 minute protest period after the race results are posted WILL BE STRICTLY ADHERED TO - THERE WILL NOT BE AN EXCEPTION TO THIS. SCORES WILL REMAIN AS POSTED AT THE RACE. As a rider it is your responsibility to stay until after the scores are posted. If there is a problem with a class all others will remain the same for the exception of the protested class, if the protested class in the one you ride in it will corrected and reposted with an additional 30 minute protest period.

2) Promotions, will be handled with the normal advancement point system, and/or with riders that appear to be riding above the level in the current class they race in. This decision can be and will be made by the HS Score Keeper, HS Chairman and HS Referee, as well as being presented to HS Committee for promotion all of this is in our current FTR Rule book.

3) Riders riding with the wrong the helmet and bar code will forfeit their score - NO MORE changing out of bar codes because of rider error.

4) No phone calls will be excepted after 9:00 PM.

5) Most importantly I will be more than happy to work a problem out with any rider with a justified problem. Please remember when contacting me park your anger before you call, I am willing to work with you and solve a problem, but there is no need for rudeness on either part.

The reasoning behind all of the above is the fact that the Hare Scramble competition in FTR has grown to an average of over 700 riders per weekend, we need to keep the competition level competitive for all riders, and yes more responsibility depend on the rider to have the correct paper work in order when you sign up. If information on your registration form is incorrect the information for scoring will also be incorrect, therefore creating an unnecessary problem. Parents, please remember to sign the minor release form and bring your child to sign up so he or she can get their wrist band. Please pay attention to what you are filling out take a little time and make sure its right or it may cost you the wrong score - and no one wants that to happen.

Well thanks allot, have fun, run hard and we'll have a great HS season!
