In Memory
John F. Scott "Scotty"
March 30, 1933 - February 23, 2001

Scotty worked for the City of Pompano Beach as a Fire Fighter for 21 years and achieved the rank of Lieutenant. He was also an entrepreneur and businessman for many years before retiring in 1998. His businesses included Galt Mile Barber Shop, John's Cycles, AJS Sportcycles, Deerfield Beach Fire Equipment and Hydro-Stat, Inc. Besides his love for business and family, Scotty was an avid motorcyclist. He was a long time member of the Florida Trail Riders, Palm Beach Track and Trail Riders and the American Motorcyclist Association. His passion was off road riding and he enjoyed many years of racing both Enduros and Hare Scrambles throughout Florida. Scotty will be sorely missed by his family and many friends. He was known for his generous spirit and his love of life.

"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things."
