Old business:
1) The following proposal was passed at the previous meeting.
Add to the Rulebook:
Chapter 4, section E, line 7
(Begin the Line)
The standard variation for mileage accuracy is no more than .05 of a mile as measured from the last known mileage posted on a mile marker or on the route sheet.
Proposal is ratified by 11 to 1.
New business:
1) Discussion was heard on the subject of team riders in the 2000/2001 series had been riding on the same row. The Enduro Committee Scorekeeper provided a list of team riders. The FTR President provided a copy of the last five events. It was noted that a number of team members for 'The old fat guys' had ridden on the same row at several events. Also, two riders for 'Apollo Gold' had ridden on the same row at one event. Representatives of 'The old fat guys' contended that riders on the same row were not necessarily riding on the team entered at any particular event. The team representative also contended that pre-entries sent in one envelope were not stapled together or necessarily entered on the team. Since team rosters for each event were not available for review, the Enduro Committee found that the team 'The old fat guys ' had knowingly ridden on the same row in more than one 'luck of the draw', or pre-entered together for the same row.
A proposal by Buddy Gaillard with a second by Linda Barron recommended that a letter be sent to all 2001/2002 teams emphasizing the rule that no riders should knowingly ride on the same row. In addition, a letter of reprimand should be sent to the team 'The old fat guys' for rule infraction.
Proposal passed 9 to 3.
2) A proposal by Sam Mento.
Chapter 4, Section D, line 6, change first sentence to read:
Anyone can ride together on the same row.
Approval failed by 9 to 4
