Executive Committee Meeting
April 20, 2002
The meeting was called to order at 6:38 by the President, Terry Enyart. Members of the
committee in attendance were as follows:
President
Vice President
Treasurer
Hare Scrambles Chairman
Enduro Chairman |
Terry Enyart
Jenni Lamb
Cheryl Horn
Randy Faul
Ryan Crist |
A quorum was present.
The only order of business was to review the club documentation in order to determine
which clubs met the criteria to be recognized FTR clubs.
The clubs were organized alphabetically and the review process began. The procedure was to
be that those that met the criteria would be approved. Those that did not meet the
criteria were to be put aside and reviewed again, with a more subjective approach, to
determine if they could be recognized.
By the rule, a 2/3 vote of the entire committee was necessary to approve a club as
recognized. Since 2 of the 7 members of the committee were not present, meaning that a
"yes" vote from all 5 members present were necessary to approve a club.
The first club to be considered was the Apollo M/C. They were approved unanimously.
The second club to be considered was Azalea City M/C. They were disapproved, since 1
member, Ryan Crist, voted to disapprove.
Ryan's vote was questioned by a spectator at the meeting, Jack Terrell. Crist and Terrell
had a somewhat heated discussion over this.
The next club to be considered was the Bay Area Dirt Riders. The club was disapproved with
"no" votes cast by Jenni Lamb and Cheryl Horn.
With this, a very heated discussion erupted between Crist and Lamb.
Crist announced that he was leaving the meeting and left.
The President, Terry Enyart, declared that, since Crist left, the required number of
committee members needed to vote was no longer present and the meeting was over. The time
was 7:05.
Respectfully submitted,
Dan George
