| Hare Scrambles Commitee Meeting Minutes Date: Jan. 25, 2003 Location: Kissimmee Island Hare Scrambles Called to order by Hare Scrambles Chairman, Mike Preslar, at 7:10 P.M. Seconded by Teresa Faul. Minutes accepted unanimously. Old Business Reasearch by Rick Long on 'Playbikes' larger than 65cc being allowed to compete in the Mini 65cc class. After much discussion it was agreed that at the creation of the then Mini 60cc class it was allowable to enter up to 80cc 4 strk. 'playbikes' in that class and has been the policy since inception. A motion was brought forward by Rick Long to continue to allow up to 80cc 4 strk. playbikes to compete in the Mini 65cc class until the end of this competition season. Seconded by Brian Wenholtz. 17 for 0 opposed motion carries. New Business A discuusion on the PeeWee Advancement Points System was fielded by the Chairman. Although not contained in the current Rule Book evidence of motions accepted by both the Hare Scrambles Commitee and the Board of Directors contained in the July 1998 and Sept. 1998 FTR magazine was presented specifying PeeWee Advancement. A motion was brought forward by Tommy Neal to Adjust PeeWee Advancement as follows; PeeWee advancement will follow the current 45 points advancement system including the clause for events in which 5 or fewer riders complete all the laps. Seconded by Peter Magee. 2 for 10 opposed motion fails. A motion was brought forward by Rick Long to adjust PeeWee Advancement as follows; Add to current rule- PeeWee Advancement to include no advancement points for classes with 5 or fewer riders. Seconded by Jonny Simpkins. 0 for 5 opposed motion fails. A motion was brought forward by the Chairman to Publish in the Rule Book the PeeWee Anvancement Points System as found in the minutes published in the July 1998 and Sept. 1998 FTR magazine as follows; 1. PeeWee rider will advance to the next higher class after accumulation of two 1st place finishes or 4 top five finishes. 2. This promotion will take effect immediately. 3. The rider will take 90% of thier points awarded in the lower class to the higher class. Exception: If 90% of thier points places them in a higher position in the new class they will be awarded only enough points to attain an equal position in the new class. Seconded by Jonny Simpkins. 18 for 0 opposed motion carries. A motion was brought forward by Jack Terrell to include into the Rule Book; Pg. 8 Chapter III General Rules, C Rider Classification, 1. Hare Scrambles Classes Classes 65A + 65B*** Add the following; Playbike type motorcycles up to 80cc displacement are allowed to enter the 65A and 65B classes. Seconded by Terry Enyart. 18 for 0 opposed motion carries. General topics of discussion were- Pit Riding Rule Enforcement Rider and Spectator Conduct Duties of Officials, Reps., Directors, and Club personel. Motion to adjourn by Peter Magee.
