The following classes were proposed to be added for the 2000/2001 season.
A super mini class that would allow 80cc riders a second class to ride and also allow a
class for big wheel 80's and 100cc machines. The rule for the class would read "Super
mini class limited to 80 to 100cc machines including 80's with a big wheel configuration
with riders no older than 15 years old"
Proposal was passed 5-0
Discussion opened for the addition of a Pee Wee class for 4-6 year olds for shaft
driven/oil injected bikes only. This would be a type of beginner class for Pee Wee's. Rule
would read "Pee Wee 4-6 year old stock class for oil injected bikes"
Proposal was passed 5-0
Discussion was opened for the addition of a 30 plus c class and a 40 plus c class. These
classes are to allow those in these age groups to have a starter class for motocross thus
drawing more of our hare scramble/enduro riders to the MX series. The rule would read as
follows "30 plus c class. Age open to 30 and above and open to 125 to open CC. Riders
in this class would not be eligible to ride our regular 30 plus class. This is an entry
level age group class"

The rule for the 40 plus c class would read as follows "40 plus c class. Age open to
40 and above and open to 125 to open CC. Riders in this class would not be eligible to
ride our regular 40 plus class. This is an entry level age group class"
Proposal passed 5-0
Discussion was raised about allowing Hare Scramble/Enduro riders to step down a class when
they race motocross. Example: a B hare scramble rider could ride a C class in Motocross/
an A rider could ride a B Motocross class. However, a C Hare scramble rider could not move
down to the beginner class. The reason for this discussion was to make it easier to draw
more of our current FTR members in the other series into the MX series. Also, in Motocross
an A rider is basically a pro, and with an A hare scrambler or enduro rider this may not
be the case on a motocross track. The third reason is so that the designation of our
riders in our MX series does not interfere with them riding in other MX series such as
Lorretta Lynn qualifiers because we make them ride in the same class as they do in Hare
Scrambles. Thus, the rule would read "in the MX series you may drop below your
current hare scramble or enduro designation by one class. ie A to B or B to C. You may not
drop from C class to beginner class."
This discussion was tabled until our next meeting.
The meeting was closed at 6:45 pm
Respectfully submitted.
