Open Letter to Terry Enyart

I thank Mr. Enyart for the assistance I received after a crash I had in the opening laps of my Vet B race at the State Line Harescramble.  Without his help I would have surely been mauled by my class and the following class, for I had the wind knocked out of me and could not move for a while.   Terry, seeing my crash, instinctively knew I would need help and stopped to first check if I was ok (I gestured), then directed traffic, picked up my bike, and told me we will finish this race (yeah right, I was thinking).  I did finish the race under Terry's supportive words.  I wish I was healthy, for the trail and event were as perfect as last year.  I now know the extent of my injuries will keep me from racing the next race at Hard Rock.  Without Terry's help I know I would be in worse shape, for many bikes came within inches of me while I was down, even with Terry's help. I nominate Mr. Enyart for 'Sportsman of the year'!  Without Terry's help I am sure Jenny Buxe, Bob Brown, Kevin, and maybe my wife would have helped.  Glad I did not have to wait.

P.S.  Vet C is a vicious class! I am happy to be starting in front of them.
