| What's Hot! All the Hot M/X and H/S riders were invited to run the Scrub Oak Enduro again this year with only a spark arrestor required because the club was cool and provided trails with no public roads!! YES! Ashley Brewer topped Tommy Veator by one point to overall the event and also lock in his second consecutive season Enduro championship. Who da man? Trails were a phat mix of woods sections with great road breaks in between allowing me (and everyone else) to get back on time and stop sweating for a minute or two. Time keeping skills were of a high priority because of the many speed changes and resets. Thank you very much. In the Specialty classes, Vet A rider Jonny Simpkins and Super Senior A rider Mike Shank both turned in excellent scores of 13. When in doubt, power out! First place team went to the fastest large riders in the Southeast, Team Old Fat Guys. If you can't hang with these big dogs, stay on the porch. I scored a 47. What's Not! Let's hope that first impressions aren't everything after a new Enduro rider was given a new nickname as " The Bee Man." He found out what riding slightly off the trail will get you into. (Ain't no rain cloud ever move that fast!) For the first time in nobody knows how long, there was no mud to be seen, just dust. Unfortunately, this resulted in many blinded people, and hours and hours of picking dirt out of your eyes afterwards. Jenni Lamb got lots of thumbs up after her bike let her down on the trail. I scored a 47. |
