Daytona Hilton Resort Reservations

I seem to remember reading somewhere an explanation that the Hilton Resort would auto cancel our reservations since the banquet was cancelled. I remember a date of July 20th unless you contacted Hilton and asked to keep the reservation. I'm letting every know that I just had to cancel the reservation myself as it wasn't automatically cancelled.

"HOTEL RESERVATIONS: On July 20th, the Hilton Hotel will cancel all reservations made for the event. If you made a reservation and would like to keep it, you can call the hotel prior to July 20th and advise them to keep your reservation, you will still have the FTR rate. Call at 386-254-8200 - Group name: Florida Trail Riders – Group Code: FTR820. "

I just received a refund for Hilton. Did not even have to call.

I received an email a couple days ago about upgrading my reservation. When I called my reservation was still active. Not sure why me calling would make any difference over reserving online but it appears it did. If anyone reserved on phone I'd suggest checking into it!
