Art, you know only half of that was funny. You can guess which half!! The other half, of course, is just wrong.

Art,
A true buddy would ask for the last spot on row 16 and pressure Sterling E.!
Mark & I would be very appreciative.

Dan,
I sent my entry today. Requested last spot on row 5. I am so excited that I will not be the only B200 FTR racer this season. goracing

When we ride around here for fun, I often see Sterling E. (B 200) take off out front and drop his dear Ole Master A dad Rick E. like a bad habit.
It's hard to compete with somebody who gets bigger, stronger, faster and fitter everyday........with no more effort than sleeping late and watching TV. shark1
Ahhhhh............to be 15 1/2 again. hebang

Am i looking at it right that all spots are filled up to row 44 as of 8-8-09? It looks like they just start filling in from row # 1. I sent ours in last week but don't see it up there yet. But it was after 8-8-09.

Heads up!! It looks like we have to have a WORKING headlight and tag. They will be inspecting on the line and I was told you will not race with out working headlight. Please verify by calling the number on the flyer.

I would make sure you have some sort of headlight and tag. Should be a great event and hope to see everyone there.

Here is a post from the GERA Sec/Tres regarding the street legal issue.
No worries.
GERA recieved our finalized permit for the 2009 LBJ at 11:50 this morning (Friday09/04).
THE REQUIREMENT THAT BIKES BE STREET LEGAL HAS BEEN DROPPED! You still need a USFS approved spark arrester.
Several factors made this possible. Our new start area means that we no longer use any state or county roads. Let's show our landowners our respect and gratitude. NO PIT RIDING! TAKE YOUR TRASH HOME WITH YOU! Don't bring any thing with you that you can't take home. Leave your pit bikes/ATVs at home. GERA obtained a parade permit for Philson Road, which racers will cross twice-ON THE CLOCK- and hired LCSO officers to control the crossings. SLOW DOWN and obey their instruction! They may decide to stop racers and let car traffic proceed. There are NO resets, restarts, aux gas stops, or spectator points on or near Philson Road. Please stay off Philson Road. There is no reason for pit/chase crews to drive south or west of the aux gas on FS Road 334. If you see a Church or paved road, you are somewhere you shouldn't be! There will be a few short transfer sections of USFS gravel road used. No hotdogging on these roads please. Ample resets mean there is no reason to be in a hurry on the roads.
Thanks, spread the word, and have a great race,
Duane Wellington

Wow! 22 racers in the pro class. Well deserved IMHO. People that really know racing try not to miss that one. That track was probably more fun that any other I've done. It was 4-stroke heaven with open flowing woods almost the entire race.funfun

What a Great Race! I believe they had close to 400 riders. 60+ Miles of trail, all at 30 MPH pace. It was a blast. Glad to see the FTR crowd there in attendance.

The trail of a thousand jumps! That place 'is' special with all those ridges, valleys and creeks. Glad I finally got to run this one. One of these days I might figure out how to ride on that hard stuff.
Glen Kearney (on his little 2-stroke) caught up to me at the very end (making it look way too easy) and I let him right by. He tied on minutes for the overall so it went down to the tie breaker (seconds) and he got it. Just think, if a rider had held him up for only a few seconds it could have changed things.
