Are the stock Magura handlebars the same as regular old "fat" bars. What I'm asking is will Fat bars fit into the stock KTM clamps?

Mike, they should fit at the center clamps. ? With the Pro Taper fat bars use forward clamps designed for the Pro Tapers. ?When using the Magura bar, use forward clamps designed for the Magura bar. ?The forward clamps are not interchangeable between brands because the exterior dimenstions of the handlebars are different in the areas where the clamps attach unless you can machine the forward clamps to fit properly.

Edit: I'm speaking of the forward clamps for any bark buster type application. ?Then again, if I had a new bike I would be looking at the modern bark buster connections that has an short extension that bolts to the top triple clamp at one end and the bark buster on the other end. ?This keeps the bars uncluttered and wires and cables clear of additional obstructions.

They are called hand guard mounts. Heres an example:

The stock KTM bars are as good as the Pro-Tapers, which are very good. No need to change them.
