These are the hotels at the I-10 intersection. The club guys stayed in the Executive Inn last year and it was fine and very reasonable. I plan to stop by there next weekend and see if we can negotiate a FTR race rate for the weekend. You can go ahead and make reservations and then ask for the special rate a few days before you arrive. This time of year there are usually plenty of rooms available for the weekend.

I also got the word today that our food vendor from last year will be able to be at our event again this year. Mr. Duval and his family put out a spread that you simply won't see at most other events. In the past he has had fresh collard greens, fried mullet, ribs, grilled chicken, and so on. There is no telling what he has planned for this year.

In fact..... the first year that Mr Duval did our event I mentioned to the local EMS guys that they could go over and have lunch on the club's tab. On Saturday I saw a couple of them go over and order a hamburger. I did notice one guy had the mullet. On Sunday I look around the pits and notice that we now have 2 ambulances, a fire truck, and 2.......yes TWO Life-flight helicopters on the property........ and every one of those folks is sitting in the shade at Mr. Duvals eating ribs and mullet.

Good Afternoon All,
I just wanted to let you all know that the TTR club members are all working very hard to get ready for you and the racing that will take place April 14 and 15. As many of you know, I thouroughly enjoy this event and meeting each of you is a great pleasure. I belive that you will all enjoy yourselves this year and again, I will be doing a firework show for you Saturday night.
Tell all of your friends that this is the one race that you want to attend.
I am aware of the economy and gas prices, but the TTR guys and myself will do everything possible to make this race the one you do not want to miss.
Many Thanks to those of you who come again and again, I and TTR do appreciate you very much.
By the way, Dexter is still Dexter and has put the kabash on my burning activities till the race is over. We love him and he does design great race trails and the trails on the Off Rd. Park are great. hope will spend some time at the Off Rd. Park and enjoy what we have built for you.
