Motocross Committee Meeting Minutes
Reddick, FL — Nov. 16, 2003

Meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M.

In attendance;
Jim Edgar - Chairman
Buddy Martin - Scorekeeper
John Collins – Referee
Bridgett Prevatte - Women rider rep.
Michael Hall - B rider rep.
Len Edgar - C rider rep.
Robert White - Sr. rider rep.

There were no minutes from the previous meeting.
No reports by Officers.
No Guests.

Unfinished Business:

There was no unfinished business.

New Business:

A proposal from member Buddy Martin to change FTR Scoring. Proposed Rule: 3. As an event consists of two moto’s, a rider will be awarded one-half total points if he/she finished only one moto. The rider will receive no points if he/she does not start or does not finish either moto. A motion was made to accept the proposal as written. Seconded. 6 in favor motion passed.

A proposal from member Buddy Martin to change the Top Year-End Motocross awards. Proposed Rule: E. Total points toward FTR Motocross Overall Series High Point will be determined by the best combined scores of a rider with an adult membership, based on best 70% in each of the riders classes. Year-end Motocross overall awards will be based on over all total points in a single adult class during the season for one award in each of the A, B, and C divisions. To qualify for year-end awards in the FTR Motocross Series, a rider must enter at least 50% of the sanctioned events.

This will yield:
1 – Motocross Overall Series High Point Rider – Best 70% Combined Scores of Classes Raced.
1 – “A” Motocross High Point Rider – Best Total Points in the “A” Class
1 – “B” Motocross High Point Rider – Best Total Points in the “B” Class
1 – “C” Motocross High Point Rider – Best Total Points in the “C” Class
(all adult memberships)

This should also qualify for the Moose Bucks Program.
A motion was made to accept the proposal as written. Seconded. 6 in favor – 0 opposed, motion passed.

A proposal from member Jim Edgar was presented to offer a One-Day Motocross Pass. Proposed Page 7 Chapter II under Definitions. Insert below Juvenile Membership. One-Day Adult Motocross Pass – Designed for one person to be used the date of purchase. Person will be scored for the day’s overall results however, said person will be removed from overall FTR points. (i.e. rider places 5th overall for the day all riders finishing behind said rider will be given FTR series points for one position higher.) This one-day pass will be offered at a rate to be determined annually, but never less than one-half the standard adult FTR membership rate. A motion was made to accept the proposal as written. Seconded. 6 in favor – 0 opposed, motion passed


A proposal from member Dave Hall was presented to add a Quad Rider for Motocross. Proposed: Page 4 Chapter I Article XIV under B. Members: Quad Division. A motion was made to accept the proposal as written. Seconded. 6 in favor – 0 opposed, motion passed.
A proposal from member Deborah Broderick was presented to add 2, girls only, classes to the Mini divisions. A motion was made to accept the proposal as written. Seconded. 0 in favor - 6 opposed, motion fails.

A proposal was submitted by Jeff Folmar parent of Casey Folmar juvenile member. Proposal to add a mini girls class. A motion was made to accept the proposal as written. Seconded. 0 in favor - 6 opposed, motion fails.

A proposal from member Deborah Broderick was presented to change the rulebook concerning the Youth 12-15 motocross class.

A motion was made to accept the proposal as written. Seconded. 6 in favor – 0 opposed, motion passed.

A motion to adjourn was made. Seconded. Unanimous. Meeting adjourned at 8:04 P.M.
