Seminole Scrambles May 8, 2004

Meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM

Minutes from 2/7/04 were read, corrected to include in attendance member Jack Terrell and accepted as corrected.

Old Business

A motion to accept the proposal previously accepted and printed in the magazine regarding year-end awards for Beginner class riders was seconded. In Favor 16, Opposed 0. To be forwarded to the BOD for final approval.

A motion to accept the proposal previously accepted and printed in the magazine regarding AA background colors was seconded. In Favor 14, Opposed 0. To be forwarded to the BOD for final approval.

A motion to accept the proposal previously accepted and printed in the magazine regarding schedule and class changes was seconded. In Favor 14, Opposed 1. To be forwarded to the BOD for final approval.

New Business

A motion by Mike Preslar to change the rule book as follows,
Pg. 19, Chapter VII, Hare Scrambles Scoring, C. Rider Advancement
2 (Add the following sentence), "However riders voluntarily advancing themselves to a higher Division after 50% of the scheduled events have been completed will carry no points to the higher Division. Points earned in the lower Division will remain."

Also:
Pg 19, B. 10. C,
After the words, "The new Division", add the following, "unless riders voluntarily advancing themselves to a higher Division after 50% of the scheduled events have been completed will carry no points to the higher Division. Points earned in the lower Division will remain."

Sanction applications for the 2004-2005 Series Schedule were accepted from the following promoting clubs:

  • RCDR
  • CFTR
  • DDR
  • ACMC
  • FTR
  • BAD
  • SADRA
  • Suncoast
  • TTR
  • TCTR
  • Apollo
  • BSTR
  • SWFTR
  • SEFTR

A motion to adjourn was seconded, all in favor.
