Off-Highway Advisory Committee Meeting

The next meeting of the Off-Highway Advisory Committee will be held June 22 at the offices of the St. Johns River Water Management District in Palatka. The public is invited and I hope we can have some representatives from Big Scrub, River City, and Daytona there. The last meeting was held in Pensacola and the public turned out in numbers for that meeting with TTR being represented. The agenda has not been set as of this notice. The start time for the meeting is 10:00am.

The work I have been doing with SJRWMD to get more opportunities to use their land should become official at that meeting. SJRWMD officials will be there and hopefully there will be representatives from FTR there to show their appreciation to the staff for their help and support in our efforts.

The OHAC is also looking for people to serve on a regional site selection committee. We are looking for land in all areas of the state and we need people to serve on a regional committee to help us look and select lands that will meet our needs. The northeast region needs volunteers and the meeting would be a good place to come and volunteer.
