Attention Super Vintage Riders —
Rule Book Error Found
A proposal was introduced at the January 26, 2002 Hare Scrambles Committee
to Chapter VIII, D to add the following:
Only machines from 1987 and prior will be allowed. Modifications must
consist of OEM or aftermarket parts that were available from 1987 and
prior.
The rule was approved, published, voted on a second time and approved
by the Board of Directors. However, the words, "Only machines from 1987
and prior will be allowed. Modifications must consist of" was left out
of the published rule and the words, "There is no limit on suspension
consisting of" was erroneously published in their place.
The rule as proposed, to limit the class to machines from 1987 and prior, will
be enforced, effective with the 2004-2005 season. The correct rule should read
as follows, "Any motorcycle of any displacement provided it is air cooled and
has drum brakes front and rear. Only machines from 1987 and prior will be allowed.
Modifications must consist of OEM or aftermarket parts that were available
from 1987 and prior. Number plates are to be yellow with black numbers."
This will be corrected in the next published Rule Book. |
