III. New Business
Joe moved that Kevin Wright be named as the B Rider representative for
Hare Scrambles. The motion was adopted unanimously.
Joe moved that Brian Morris be named as the Quad Rider representative
for Hare Scrambles. The motion was adopted unanimously.
Dave moved that Dalton Platt be named as the C Rider Representative
for Motocross. The motion was adopted unanimously.
Mark moved that the Mini 51-70cc class in Quads be moved from Row 3
at the 12:30 PM race on the full Quad Scrambles course to the 3rd race
on the Peewee course. After discussion, it was determined that the Quad
Scrambles Committee must approve this change before the Executive Committee
could address this issue. Mark agreed to scheduling a Quad Scrambles
Committee meeting at the Hare Scrambles scheduled for Holopaw on September
24th.
Advertising the Quad Scrambles Series was discussed. A maximum sum of
$2,500.00 was approved to print and distribute flyers to bike shops in
Florida. Answer/MSR has offered to send a supply of the flyers to all
of the dirt oriented shops they service. Dan George will arrange the
printing and delivery of flyers to Answer/MSR for this purpose and will
also ship supplies to Area Directors and members of the Quad Scrambles
Committee for distribution.
Confusion over which classes qualify for Juvenile membership was discussed.
We have implemented several classes in Motocross and Quad Scrambles that
makes the definition of Juvenile in the Rule Book incomplete. The Executive
Committee cannot change this rule, as it is a Board of Directors issue.
It was decided to interpret Juvenile members to be those 12 years of
age and under.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:04 PM.
