Committee Meeting Minutes

Deep South Quad Scramble - Big Cypress 02/04/06

The Chairman determined that a quorum was present and called the meeting to order at 7:08 pm

Old Business:

A motion to re-word the Mini 51-70 cc class to be referred to as Super Peewee was voted on for the second time, and passed unanimously.

A proposal to change the starting order for the Saturday races was voted on for the second time and passed unanimously.

New Business:

Mark Campbell submitted a proposal to change the current QS schedule format to a Saturday only format.

The reasoning for the proposal is to help alleviate the financial burden on the clubs, and encourage rider participation.

9. Rider age will be confirmed for anyone moving to a specialty class where age is a requirement (Vet, Senior,
Super Senior, Master Golden Girl, Peewee and Minis) They will show proof of age at sign up on the first
race they enter. Peewee and Mini riders must be within the minimum age requirement upon entering their first event.
Their age for the season will be the age attained at their first event of the season. The event flyer will have
this warning, "Proof of age will be required."

3. Each class will be allotted a maximum time to complete the course and be timed. In PeeWee A and B the
course will be closed to start additional laps 15 minutes after the start. In Mini 51-90cc (Super PeeWee)
the course will be closed to start additional laps 20 minutes after the start.

The proposal was discussed, Mark motioned that we accept, Amanda seconded, and the proposal passed unanimously.

A rider was addressed on an issue regarding conduct unbecoming of an FTR member, it was discussed briefly and served as an official warning that the rider's behavior would not be tolerated.

Mark motioned for the meeting to adjourn, Wanda seconded and unanimous approved.
The meeting adjourned at 7:42 pm.
