MX Committee Meeting

The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Carol Preston

Roll call:

Guests: Kevin Carr, Debi Carr, Joe Steidl, Ray Spundeck, John Stelling

The last minutes were read and approved

New Business:

1.The search for new MX only sponsorships was brought up. Carol and Sandy have been working on getting local Dealers to be more involved . Letters and personnel visits have seemed to work as we have gotten gift certificates from several dealers. Joe Steidl suggested we contact Streets Honda. Brian Hayes also suggested we contact Beach Sport Cycles.

2.Brett Price and Ken Deog suggested we change practice to skill levels such as A,B,C instead of our current system. It was discussed and tabled until we can figure out the best way in the time allotted for practice, since it is limited. Dewayne Sprenger also suggested we make it more aware at Riders Meeting for riders to be AWARE of there surroundings.

3.Ken Kloza our new Scorekeeper said all was well - no problems so far.

4.Brian Hayes suggested that some of our Vet classes should also be divided into skill levels A,B,C to make the classes more competitive and fun. Example: +45 has former Pro and expert riders as well as some riders who have only been riding a couple of years. We as committee will look into this and make suggestions at the next meeting.

5.It was also suggested that all the committee members be trained in sign up as well as tech inspection so, if some can’t be at race anyone from the committee can fill in.

6.Carol Preston again wanted to thank the Carr Family for all their hard work for the last two years. The Carr’s are still involved as shown in the roll as being guests and still helping out. This is a great FTR family.

Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Ken Deog and 2nd by Sandy Moss.
