He cleans it up and clearcoats it. Plus he has a jig to return the pipe to its original geometry. Usually if you hit them they bend near the end. $60 but shipping is a bit expensive from fl.

Did my own before, but can be scary. Used a metal/rubber freeze plug from Autozone. When it blew out, it landed 200 feet away! Loud too.
I use CO2 instead of air. The thought of compressed air + hot oil + flame scares me.

I sent my pipe to Piperepair nearly a month ago. Their website says call or email to get an estimate on time to repair.. I have emailed and called them to get an update on the status of my repair and they don’t answer the phone or reply to emails. They claim same day turn around or repaired in the order received if they get backlogged. The no reply no answer part concerns me.
